how can i connect two modems at duplicate time so it will work past its sell-by date of one phone string?

You can't. One phone file, one modem, that is the rule. While it is sometimes possible to use both modems concurrently to increase your bandwidth, you require a seperate phone string for each.
to do that you will obligation to take apart and physically alter the modems

they hold some kind of earthing system within them so that if one is in use after the other will not work

you will have to remove this if you want 2 running at impossible to tell apart time

good luck
you will inevitability to get a hub and eithernet modems and install them on both computers that opening you can share the internet with another computer
Think give or take a few wanting to connect 2 phones to your phone line. Once you plug them respectively into their own phone jack do you think you will know how to dial someone on one phone while someone else is speaking on the other phone ?

Of course not . Same thing next to 2 modems. Like the other respondant said, you cannot do this with with the sole purpose 1 phone line...you obligation 2 separate lines.

Only one modem can connect at a time on one phone file. You can share the connection contained by many ways. There are wireless routers that own ehernet ports and a modem. It will allow any computer connected to it to use the internet connection through them modem.
