You may prefer to fence the new concrete hard disk into 2 or more drive. More details at http://fixit.in/format.html
macs can pick up ntfs too.
Why not upgrade your mac to OSX and use NTFS?
Right click on the drive and click on format and it will askand it will ask profile allocation .select fat32 and click on ok

Yeah, I get duplicate thing, can't format next to FAT32 on Window's tools, use format /FS:FAT32 [driveletter]: /Q

Q is for a quick format, tolerate us know if that solves it.
