How can I connect a ps/2 mouse to ta laptop next to solely USB connections?

I own an E-System 3086 laptop with singular usb connections (no ps/2). Already have a ps/2 to usb adapter, but the laptop won't recognise it. I enjoy tried all methods of installation and checked the BIOS, but no relevent option. Any help gratefully appreciated?

Try a different connector. Not adjectives connectors use the same electrical system diagrams. So a different brand may work. See this all the time at work. (Sorry can not recommend a brand, because the one that works vary with respectively brand of laptop).

However, for the price of a new adaptor, you could receive a USB mouse. A USB mouse will always work better that a PS/2 near an adaptor.

Bottom line, basically get a USB mouse...
the tech stores close to CompUsa have converters that will allow you to do that.
if you downloaded drivers, etc. try contacting the notebook manufacturer or the mouse capitalist. or just draw from a new mouse.
it should work unless you own 9x
Get a PS/2 to USB converter.
get a unsullied mouse. for the amount of time and energy put contained by to figuring it out, you can get hold of a nice one that is USB and wireless.

1. Name, model of mouse?

2. Do you hold the drivers, CD for it?

3. Does window popup and error message saying that your hardware might in a minute work when you plug in that mouse?

As that's a newer system setup, your USB should detect a mouse. The solitary other issue is if it's not a common type, logitech, etc..consequently windows will notify next to a popup on the taskbar that your hardware isn't funtioning properly, in which baggage you would need the driver for that mouse.
Quit wasting time and money and only buy a $15 USB mouse.
