First, you necessitate to check if yoru sound card drivers are correctly installed.



Second, you necessitate to check if it's selected. To do this, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Click on Advanced button below Volume tab, Click on Options menu, choose Properties, under "Adjust volume for" box .. click on the white box saw Recording, underneath .. the white list box refresh and scroll down till you see Microphone and tick it. Click OK.



You can access this box if you have the speaker statue down next to your clock bottom right foot corner of your screen.

What are you trying to use it with? What program... nouns recorder or somthing else? Some mics do not always work near computers, you will need a program that recognize that you have a microphone.
Go to Control panel (blue background) - Sound, Speech and Audio devices - Click on nouns and audio devices- click advanced- then on the top click on - options- properties- and afterwards recording and select it and put a tick on microphone and trademark sure the volumes high
