How can i install 3d acceleration driver within ubuntu?

Hi, i have installed ubuntu 6.10 edgy_eft to my computer and installed wine into it then it give an error to install 3d acceleration driver .

It depends on what graphics card you are using (Intel, Nvidia, or ATI) there are tons guides in the Ubuntu forums for copious different types of graphics cards to enable 3d acceleration.
