Hi adjectives.I hold win 98 installed contained by my computer,n i want to install window XP,how?

There r some files surrounded by my win 98 that i fun want to lose,hence,i cannot format the hard disk,even USB doesnt work n i dun hold a cd writer,t should i do?

email the files you want to keep to yourself. An upgrade from Win98 to XP is 'chancy', it would be better to travel to FAT32 or NTFS anyway.
You can buy an XP upgrade from your local electronics store, or even a superstore like walmart or target. It will cost you give or take a few 70 dollars. Before upgrading however, you need to net sure that your windows 98 computer will be capable of run XP. I should be able to, but you may entail to purchase some more RAM first. You will need to check the processor speed too.

when you install XP you can choose to upgrade instead of doing a full install. so you can keep existing files on your computer. i would hope so for 300 bucks or however much that **** costs.
insert the cd and run the setup. when it ask if you want to format or anything select no. it should ask if you want to upgrade. you also enjoy the option of buying another HDD and putting XP on it. tons have done this. later you can keep your other drive as the slave drive beside all your programs on it and know how to acess them. any more question, consistency free to email me..
