HI-SPEED USB DEVICE PLUGGED INTO Non HI-SPEED HUB?

If it's not a true 2.0 port by hardware next you can't do anything.
Buy a hi-speed usb adapter,
If you are using an external hub, then you should buy a unsullied one.

If you are plugging directly into the computer, then your computer's built-in USB is simply not high-ranking speed. You could get a hot computer, or, if it's a desktop, you could probably get a high-speed USB expansion card, after you would plug your high-speed devices into that.

Also I believe that old OSes similar to Win98 do not support high-speed USB at all no business what the machine skill is.
Many stores that sell technology products will also go hi-speed USB ports.

If you have a notebook computer, it's a more or less straight forward install using the PCMCIA slot on the side.

If it's a desktop computer, it requires the use of a screw driver. The card will come with instructions for installation. Follow those. There are also professionals that will install it for you for cheap, but don't use Geek Squad. (They solely _look_ like geeks and they tend to reformat stuff for no point.)
