Hi! Please help out me want which 500GB external sturdy drive is best: Iomega, Western Digital, or Maxtor? Thanks!?

At present, I would suggest that the best Hard Disk Drives are any Maxtor or Seagate.

Iomega External USB Drives used to be installed with Western Digital Drives and as someone here mentioned that they are really crappy. I have one die on me the second time I used it and all I did be that I copied some song files onto it.

Till about 2-3 years ago Maxtor whitewash the crap out of all other Drives, they be so good surrounded by quality and dimensions and so Seagate brought them out.
western digital very outstanding
I will prefer Western Digital as it is easily available.
1. Western Digital (a flawless brand)

2. Maxtor (a second good brand)

3. Iomega (and I wouldn't trust them myself, not relieved with the closure drives I had).
I personally similar to Maxtor the best. As a college student, my external hard drive is totally important to me seeing as how I am writing papers constantly. We used to use Iomega rear at home and it was okay surrounded by the beginning, but begin acting up and not saving newer files after almost a year.
Western Digital are the best
every peice of technology is as good as the price I would suggest to progress for the cheapest and take out a warrantee for 3years if it go wrong you get a latest one
Seagate

Western Digital

Maxtor.

I wouldn't have the Iomega after the Zip Drive Farce.
My nearest and dearest is pretty much all repair techs. We'd adjectives recommend WD, in our experience Maxtor have a two in three shot of going defective in 6 months. Iomega is useless. the most reliable drives ever are in truth seagate.
