Help-Can't obtain my cddvd to work?

Drawer won't unfurl, have downloaded window median player, disk won;t play when I force drawer to open. Try tech oblige & they say I call for a new driver. Don't know if I should. Help

bring off the side and unplug cd-rom and reboot consent to windows fully nouns and shut down,plug it back contained by and see if it works if not shut down and remove cmos mobile or use the jumper if you know how for a minute or so next replace and try that you might have to power rotten and back on and reset the clock if that dont work try it within another system to see if it's any good
