HELP, put somebody through the mill nearly video card and power supply.?

Hey i hold a sony vaio PCV RS710G, I just bought a NVIDIA 6800 Vanilla (the simple 6800). For it the power supply reccomended is 320W. But wen i was installing the card i cheked my computer and it say 266W max. but the video card installed and is running. It seems similar to the computer is running a little slower though. So my first query, am i damaging the video card or computer. And is in attendance a way around the problem minus buying a new PSU.

Also i own 2 dvd and dvdrw, floppy drive, bunch of card readers, if i clutch out the power cord from those, will it help. Actully i tried yank them out but its like the power cords are stuck within there.

You are slaughter the power supply. I suggest getting a new one so that it can hold on to up with everything you are running stale it. I would go next to at least 400w beside everything you have running.
im sorry but the best solution is buying current PSU, about 400 to 600W..near all the peripherals attached to your PC im sure soon the PSU will die down, say-so using the DVD drive watching DVD movies, the video card using a lot of wattage as will as the DVD drive..its lower than wattage. but its likely the PSU will offer up not the PC itself..
I would advise removing the video card until you own a new power supply, thats why your computer is running slower in a minute.
you need to buy a bigger power supply i suggest you walk to www.newegg.com ,they are the most reasonable price for a 700 watt power supply give or take a few 200$ ,and this should take fastidiousness of your problem
